Style Icon: Audrey Hepburn

This is the beginning of a series where I share my style icons. So, first up is Audrey Hepburn. When I think of Audrey Hepburn sophistication and beauty comes to mind. Her style was elegant, simple and classic. Audrey Hepburn really is the definition of beauty.


Audrey Hepburn was a member of the International Best Dressed List and was elevated into its Hall of Fame in 1961. Audrey was included in People's "50 Most Beautiful People in the World" in 1990. She received the Council of Fashion Designers of America's Lifetime of Style Award in 1992.


Something that I love about Audrey Hepburn is that she didn't try to be beautiful. She just was effortlessly.

What's in My Beach Bag?

All year round I dream of lounging around on the beach under the summer sun. I've been to the beach a few times this summer, so I thought I would share with you guys my beach bag essentials.


1. Sunscreen: Defiantly the most important thing to have at the beach. No one wants a sunburn. I never use anything less than SPF 30. Make sure to reapply throughout the day!

2. Beach Towel: You can't go to the beach without a cute beach towel!

3. Music: Having music to listen to is a must have when having a beach day. I normally bring a radio as well as my phone and headphones.

4. Cover Up: I always like to keep a sundress, cover up or shirt just in case I want to pop into a restaurant to get a cold drink or snack.

5. Accessories: To stay a little stylish bring a pair of  cute sunglasses, a sunhat and some colorful sandals.

6. Camera: I always like taking a bunch of pictures at the beach so I can look back and remember it all. I use my phone most of the time, but recently I've been loving taking pictures with my polaroid camera.

7. Good Reads: To give yourself something to do while you get that suntan I always like to bring some magazines to read. Teen Vogue is my go to magazine.

8. Food:  I also like to bring some snacks. Being in the sun can make you weak, so you have to keep something on you stomach. I always bring some type of fruit.

My Beach Vacation

Hi everyone! I recently got back from my vacation to the beach. I have always loved going to the beach. It's the prefect place to vacation in the summer. Waking up in the morning and watching the sunrise and hearing the sound of the waves. It really is paradise.

For this trip I went to Myrtle Beach SC. I've been going there ever since I was a little girl, so it feels like home to me. I've had so many great memories there over the years. I made some more wonderful ones this year.

So, here is my beach vacation in pictures!

The weather was so nice everyday. It was the perfect weather for a beach trip, but it was so hot and sunny that you couldn't do much with your hair because of the humidity. I wore my hair up and my sun hat a lot.

There is nothing like a sunset at the beach. I took this from the boardwalk in the evening after dinner. I love walking along the boardwalk looking in all the little shops. Also, you have a great view of the ocean.

Above is a virgin strawberry daiquiri. It is the best little treat to cool you down and it tastes delicious.  

 

 

 

This vacation was the most relaxing vacation I have had in awhile. The weather was perfect. The views were incredible. I hope I can go back before the summer ends.

Summer Makeup Look - Fresh Skin and Red Lips

This has been my go to makeup look ever since the sun came out and the weather got warmer. I've been keeping the makeup look very natural with brown eye shadows, but add the red lip make it pop. If I was a more subtle lip I will use a light pink.

With the heat I have found that the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation is the best thing to use. It keeps your skin feeling fresh and clean all day long.

That Type of Person

Hey everyone!

I was watching a Connor Franta video awhile ago titled That Type of Person. I thought it was going to be this video that kind of pokes fun of different types of people. It ended up being a really cool video with him answering 38 really random questions that people don't normally ask. So, I thought it would be a cool little blog post idea! So here you go. Lets get started! :)

1. Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner?
Dinner, I've never been much of a breakfast eater.

2. Do you drink cereal milk?
Yes, but I never drink it all.

3. Cd's, Radio or Phone?
Phone, I can get all my favorite music all in one place. I though I still love buying cd's.

4. Window or Aisle?
Window. I love looking out the window of an airplane and seeing the clouds and things below me.

5. Fold or Crumple?
Crumple.

6. Shampoo then Body wash or Body wash then Shampoo?
Body wash then Shampoo. I don't really know why.

7. Stressed or Relaxed?
I hate to say it but stressed.

8. Patient or Impatient?
I would like to think I'm a patient person.

9. Schedule or Go with the flow?
It depends like with school I think to be more scheduled but with other things I can go with the flow.

10. When you were a kid what did you want to be when you grew up?
I always wanted to be a Veterinarian. Not anymore though I can't stand the idea of having to put a dog to sleep.

11. Prankster or not?
Defiantly not.

12. Dressed up or Dressed down?
I'm more comfortable dressed down, but it is always fun to get dress up.

13. Favorite clothing item?
I would have to say my black combat boot. They go with anything.

14. What instrument would you play?
I would love to learn how to play guitar.

15. East or West?
East.

16. London or LA?
London, I have always been really fascinated with London.

17. Favorite Holiday?
Christmas of course. It's the most wonderful time of the year.

18. How big is your bed?
Twin.

19. Do you sleep with the doors open or closed?
Always closed. I can't fall asleep if my door is opened.

20. Sheets tucked in or out?
Out I get to hot at night.

21. Have you ever stolen anything?
No.

22. Tattoos or piercing?
Tattoos, but not too many.

23. Do you smile in every photo?
Pretty much. :)

24. Have you ever pee'd in the woods?
Nope.

25. Concert or Theme Park?
Concert.

26. Music or Book?
Music. I don't read that much.

27. Animated or Reality?
Animated is more fun.

28. Letter or Email?
Email. Do people still write letters?

29. First Concert?
Raven Symone. Oh I miss That So Raven!

30. Do you own a record player?
No, but I want one.

31. Do you speak any different languages?
I took two years of Spanish in high school. Can't speak it that good though.

32. Sweet or Salty?
Salty. I'm not that big on sweet things.

33. Can you curl you tongue?
No.

34. Can you touch the tip of your nose with your tongue?
Yes.

35. Can you whistle?
No, but I wish I could.

36. Have you ever won a spelling bee?
No.

37. Do you believe in ghosts?
I believe that their are spirits that stay until they find peace.

38. Do you believe in aliens?
No.
